well this is a great starter or emergency rod and reel i wish it came with a couple more stater flies but they are easy to come buy so i just bought a few more great buy!!!

I went on vacation to colarado once and forgot my fly rod, so i bought this one while i was over there. it worked pretty well, and didn't rust or break or anything, even after i used it down at the beach. the reel is all-metal and is kind of good, but i wish it was disk-drag. the rod is a very good one, and I would have gotten the combo just for the rod. overall, this is a good begginer kit and you can use the rod for a long time, but the reel will probably wear out quickly.
