Sanuk - painful, cheap, poor service April 10, 2007

What a disappointment. I saw these sandals in a store and immediately thought they were for me. They look great and feel very comfortable (for the first 5 minutes). I love sandals that don't fall off if I have to jog 50' or walk up a hill.
Okay, so now I've dropped over $50 on a pair of sandals. 1 hour into their use I had sores on both feet from where the heat-cut elastic on the tongue rubbed and dug into my foot. Okay, I thought, this might get better with use or after a few times in the washer; persevere...
Next, the seam on the top right side of the left shoe split. This was only the 4th time I'd worn them.
I called Sanuk and the girl in Customer Service acted as though she had never hear a complaint about these shoes. She offered to replace them with another pair if I'd be willing to send them back to her.
Unwilling to spend another $10 on an overpriced, overhyped pair of cheap sandals I am returning my pair today.
The epitome of form without function.
