Jig and drift along as near the bottom as possible, the blade does not have to spin to attract fish. Lake spin casting and trolling - cast out and let your Rooster Tail settle near the bottom. Give a quick jerk of your rod tip to get the blade spinning and then retrieve slowly. Vary the pattern and speed of your retrieve. Twitch your rod tip slightly and try a stop and go technique. If line twist is a problem troll with a small weightless rudder, keel sinker or barrel swivel 18" to 14" ahead of your lure. 1/16 oz. recommended for ultra light spinning, bobber casting, trolling. Bluegills, crappie, grayling, kokanee, perch, sand bass, smallmouth bass, trout and walleye.
