Echo2 Freshwater fly rods were designed by Tim Rajeff to be the ultimate tools for chasing trout. Each Freshwater Rod features the ultimate in componentry--friction free titanium coated SIC stripping guides, maple reel seats with nickel coated barrels and hoods, a beautiful wine colored blank finish, and high grade cork handle. Knowing that beauty is only skin deep, Tim Rajeff designed each rod with its own specific power and action in order to provide you with the best tool for the job. Other manufacturers utilize a single action across an entire range of rods, which is just downright silly. To further allow you to fine tune the actions of Echo2 rods, each rod comes with 2 tips; an "A" tip for accuracy and a "D" tip for distance. Each rod includes rod sock and cordura embroidered rod case with zipper and handle. All rods are 4-piece for convenient storage and travel. The Echo2 8?0" #4 was designed for small to medium rivers and lakes. 8?0? is a good length to keep casts low to the water to help punch casts through the wind. It has a fast action when the "A? tip is used and has a medium fast action when the "D? tip is used. The rod is designed to throw small to medium flies. The freshwater rods have a beautiful, fully mortised maple reel seats; Red wine-colored blank with matching thread wraps and an elegant single silver trim wrap. The dedicated Saltwater Rods have a deep blue gloss blank with matching thread wraps and an elegant single silver trim wrap.
