Absolutely love the Otterbox! November 18, 2008
I was so sick of dropping my BB and watching the battery cover go one way and the battery go flying off the other way. There I'd be, yelling at people to STOP so I could collect my BB pieces and frantically put it all back together before someone stepped on it.
After trying a few disappointing products, I stumbled across the Otterbox. Believe me, the old adage "You get what you pay for" absolutely rings true with this product. The protection it offers is priceless. If your life is stored in a digital device like mine is, if it makes you absolutely sick to your stomach to even think about something happening to your BB, or having to live without it, then you need the Otterbox too.
I am in the military, so when people comment on the bulky size of the Otterbox, I just tell them "It's my tactical Blackberry." (Now people in my unit are asking me where they can get one for their BB!) Most of the time, If I am using the BB as a phone, I am connected via Bluetooth anyway, so the size isn't a factor.
Unfortunately, I have put it to the test already; Spilled gatorade on it in the car... fortunately, it was protected. I've dropped it numerous times already and it hasn't fallen apart - plus there aren't any new scratches.
Be sure to follow the directions for smoothing out the plastic cover over your screen, you will appreciate how much better it looks afterwards.
My one and only Protective Casing November 3, 2008
I had my Blackberry 8800 since May of this year and I already dropped it several times but I am still lucky that it did not create dents on my phone but only very very very little. This case for my phone will help me protect it from dropping on the concrete and create a big dent or even break it to the nearest extent. I consider this casing very reliable and absolutely incredible and good price.

This is a great case. These guys know what they're doing! I fit my ATT 8525 as well as a small bluetooth GPS receiver (the Holux M1200) in this case. Very pleased!

Really a rugged case. I am sure you could not run over it with a truck and have the BB come out in one piece, but for more casual protection this case should do the trick. I was a bit concerned before I received it about how the keyboard would feel but this is not at all a problem and might even be better then the feel of the uncovered keyboard. Ringer volume is a bit lower but again not enough to be problem. Goes together easy and actually is easy to take apart if you need to pull your battery or replace the SD card. Does make the unit larger but the rubber outer shell makes it feel more secure.

Great product. Purchased because I broke the belt clip on the original case. Well Engineered - fit is excellent, and seems to be very rugged.
While it does bulk up the device in the hand, it is actually less bulky on the belt ("hugs" closer to the body) than the original leather case that was provided with the device.
