So much more then we expected! January 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I ordered this game because I had ordered Cabela's North American Trophy Bucks and it ended up being back ordered. I wanted a game for us to play over the Christmas holiday and since I wasn't sure if the Cabela's North American Trophy Bucks would be shipped to us in time, I also bought Cabela's African Safari.
Let me start off by saying this game is awesome! So much better then I was expecting. My husband is an avid duck hunter (in real life), and the Cabela's African Safari duck hunting BLOWS AWAY the duck hunting in Cabela's North American Trophy Bucks! I couldn't believe how much better it was.
When I first showed my husband the Cabela's African Safari, he looked at me like I was nuts for getting that one. But I told him to give it a chance, since the reviews on Amazon were to great. He did and he LOVES this game. The hunting/shooting had smooth movement and great graphics. The Cabela's North American Trophy Bucks was a joke compared to this one. No one even plays that one in our house, everyone would rather play the Cabela's African Safari.
bought game for my son November 11, 2007 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this game for my son, he has the other Dangerous Hunts games and enjoyes them. So I can't really review it.
A great little hunting simulator for the PS2!!! Cabela's African Safari delivers!!! August 17, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
What a great little hunting game for the PS2!!! Lots of animals to hunt and weapons to chose from!!! Incredible graphics too!!!It's not the easiest game to learn to play at first, but it gets easier as you play it and get more familiar with the controls!!! Remember, this is only a game, not real hunting,I would NEVER hunt these animals for real,it's a fantasy, not reality,I love animals!!! Having said that this is a fun game that me and my nephew enjoy playing!!! Definately not for everyones taste, but if you like a good hunting simulator, this one hits the target!!! Cabela's African Safari from Activision delivers!!! Two thumbs up!!! Way up!!! A+
An overall great game! April 17, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is one great game. It has especially good graphics and it's really realistic when a rhino, wild boar, leopard, or buffalo charges you. There are tons of animals to hunt and five African countries to choose from. When you go on Safari Hunt you tour every country and stay at a lodge there, while trying to shoot all of the game in that particular country. The best part is after you complete the game it dosen't just sit on a shelf collecting dust, but it always has an exciting hunt to do. This is certainly a great use of your money!
Waste of Money - Opinion of an 11 year old January 5, 2007 2 out of 17 found this review helpful
This game was a total waste of time and money. You think it's cool that you get to shot animals, it has lousy graphics. Just a dud of a game. I wish I could get my money back.
